Arc de Triomphe

GOPIO France Metropole organised a ceremony on 17 December 2016 to commemorate the ultimate sacrifice of Indian soldiers while defending France in the World War-1. Ambassador of India Dr. Mohan Kumar laid a wreath and rekindled the flame with a sword at the tomb of an unknown soldier in Arc de Triomphe, Paris. National anthems of India and France were sung on the occasion in the honour of an unknown soldier. The Ambassador, accompanied by the French authorities, signed live d’or.
